Australia: Land Beyond Time - Movie Download

Plot

Australia: Land Beyond Time takes viewers on a breathtaking journey back in time to witness the birth and evolution of a mysterious land that harbors remnants of Earth's earliest life as well as many of it's strangest creatures which exist nowhere else on the planet.

Among the many delights shown in this film are the giant and fearsome parenti lizard and the living contradiction - the platypus. Other oddities include animals that have fur - yet lay eggs and ants that plant seeds! Watch as kangaroos bound majestically across the plains, thorny devils scamper comically through the spinifex and koala families, lounging together atop their eucalyptus perches, take siestas.

The world's smallest continent and largest island, Australia is an exotic, intriguing land shaped by its geographic isolation. From its famous Outback - with thousand of miles of red desert sand, to its lush coastal rainforests rich with unique wild life and cascading waterfalls, to jeweled seas with immense coral reefs, Australia, seemingly unaffected by time, is a place of extremes.

Extraordinary panoramic aerial footage surveys some of the most surreal and fascinating landscapes on Earth - ancient, eroded sea beds, colorful geological rock formations and vibrant, red sand dunes that merge with far horizons.

With breathtaking imagery, this unique film provides an opportunity to visit some of the most remote regions of the continent - including fascinating events that very few people have ever seen, such as torrential rains replenishing the Outback's Lake Eyre with water. Bringing long-dormant animals to life, as well as flocks of pelicans and water birds that fly inland to breed when sporadic rains come, this spectacular event only happens about twice every century.

Tracing the four-billion-year history of the southern continent, Australia: Land Beyond Time explores the lavish richness and diversity of continent's unique plants and animals that both survived and evolved during the most challenging of voyages. Once joined to Antarctica many millions of years ago, with high mountains and lush forests, time transformed the continent of Australia into 3 million square miles of mostly arid flat land, while its creatures adapted to changing weather conditions.

Through the most ingenious strategies, the film shows how life has managed to flourish on impoverished soils, where flood and drought go hand-in-hand. Australia is described as being more like another planet than another country, and this documentary shows why. This is a glorious but harsh land, with a strange beauty that fills the soul.
