For the collector, this is a fairly standard set of public domain cartoons from the 1940s with the official intros and endings removed and the cartoon titles changed, 4 Warner Bros, 1 Woody Woodpecker and 2 Popeyes. Collectors should note that as of 8/06, 3 of these 4 Warner Cartoons had not been included on the 3 Warner Golden Collection anthologies. What is titled here 'Bugs, Bugs Go Away' is actually 'The Wabbit Who Came to Supper,' (1942, Friz Freleng), found in much better shape on Warners' Golden Collection Vol. 3. 'Wailroad Rabbit' is really Frank Tashlin's 'The Unruly Hare' from 1945; 'A Kitties Tale' is 'A Tale of Two Kitties' (1942, Bob Clampett), one of the 3 Tweety cartoons not to co-star Sylvester. 'Fraidy Cat' is actually 'We, the Animals Squeak' (1941, Bob Clampett). There are a lot of digital artifacts visible, especially highlighted squares of light- or color-corrected animation while the rest of the screen is static, and in 'Wailroad Rabbit' there are several newly digitized explosions, flames and captions, which while well done look a bit anachronistic. While acceptable as babysitting videos, the collector will want to weigh the limitations against obtaining what is otherwise hard to find on DVD. It's also fair to consider that these cartoons cost more than a dollar each, while the official Warner Golden Collections give you 56 cartoons (and tons of extras) for about 75 bucks.

Find out about new releases, free stuff and more! There's lots of ways to stay in touch with EZTakes:
EZTakes has the largest catalog of legal DVD downloads on the planet! We've focused on getting the independent, comedy, cult, horror, classic and foreign films that you won't find in most video stores. Our catalog also includes numerous titles that won awards at some of the world's most prestigious international film festivals. Try some of our free downloads, or check out our featured movies page.
Our free download manager makes it EZ for you to download movies, burn DVDs, print labels/cases, and manage your download collection. We also offer a To-Go option for our download manager that lets you export your movies to portable devices, like Apple iPods. If you don't already have our download manager on your computer, you'll be prompted to get it when you check out a title.
DRM, or Digital Rights Management technology, restricts when, where and how customers can enjoy the content they purchase from other download sites. That causes nasty surprises when DRM stops people from using their downloads for legitimate purposes, like burning DVDs, moving movies to a new computer or watching them on a portable device. Even though Apple iTunes, and just about every other legal movie download site, imposes DRM restrictions, we don't. That's because we want our customers to get the most value from their legitimate purchases.
EZTakes signs distribution agreements with all film owners, or their representatives. Those agreements almost always restrict us from selling some films in some countries. We very much want to be able to sell all films in more countries; however, getting the legal rights to do so is not always within our power.
Please remember to check the EZTakes site periodically since we are always publishing more downloads that we can distribute in more countries.
