Given the age of this film, I found it to be VERY atmospheric. I remember seeing it as a pre-teen on a UHF channel. I was semi familiar with it, but never sat down to watch it.
I was VERY surprised to see it on EZTAKES. I took the opportunity to download it. The print is good, the story is good too.
A traveling circus is invited to perform for a sinister count. They take the job, and find out his secret. I won't give it away, because it's worth watching. Donald Sutherland plays one of his first roles as an old witch, an extra, and a soldier. Not bad getting 3 parts in your first film. He's come a long way!
This print is from a 16mm negative...there are some scratches and lines, but for a black & white film, it just adds to the charm.
So sit back, relax and turn down the lights, this one is great entertainment.
