Widower Ignacio (Santiago Ramos) returns poor, and unemployed to his hometown on the same day his son Pablo (Daniel Guzman) arrives fresh from drug rehab. Ignacio finds a world much different from the one he left and is constantly reminded of the pain created by Pablo's addition. Pablo works to rebuild the relationships that were torn apart, including those with his father and estranged wife and child. Ignacio finds respite by visiting old friends and recalling past memories while his son concentrates on building a future that includes his entire reunited family.
Ignacio (Santiago Ramos) regresa pobre y desempleado despues de emigrar a otra ciudad en busca de empleo. Su hijo Pablo (Daniel Guzman), como tantos otros, ha estado varios anos tapandose su agujero vital con la droga. Tras una cura de desintoxicacion, llega al pueblo, a la casa de Ignacio, su padre. Cree que alli podra encontrar todo lo que dejó en el camino, pero realmente no ha hecho mas que empezar.
En los ultimos meses ninguno de ellos ha vivido en la casa familiar en la que los dos fueron los unicos ocupantes. Por su parte, Ignacio ha tenido que borrar de su vida un hijo drogadicto y lo ha hecho refugiandose en un coro musical, del que ahora es marginado. Ese camino que a los dos les toca andar se presenta duro, casi infranqueable. Por eso, solo cuando todo este en orden, cuando aprendan a recorrerlo juntos, podrán llegar al final para vivir de nuevo.
