Fish Without a Bicycle - Movie Download

Plot

Slated as the female "Swingers," this is a witty clice of life dramedy about a naive girl caught between a lesbian, a jerk, prince charming and a fireman. Between blind dates from hell, swallowing for the first time and tampon flinging, she learns some pretty big life lessons.

Brian A. Green’s Fish Without a Bicycle is unapologetically a chick flick, but in the end it doesn’t have much to apologize for. Written by the leading actress Jenna Mattison, the story includes all of the necessary chick flick archetypes: the ambitious heroine, her best friend, the sexy sleazeball, the perfect man, and the deus ex machina wisewoman. Nothing original, though the vast majority of the interaction between them was refreshingly plausible. One of the blatantly foreshadowed twists offered a wealth of potential that the film dismisses far too quickly, but at least somewhat respectfully.

The cast performs admirably, though my heart goes out to Jennifer Blanc, forced to utter an atrocity that is easily the weakest line of the entire script. Normally, I’d comment on the film’s visual merits, but Fish Without a Bicycle provides no visual stimulation to speak of. It is perfect for a girl’s night in, however.
