Ghosts on the Loose
1943
Perhaps the most famous of the "East Side Kids" films from Monogram Pictures. Glimpy's sister, Betty (Ava Gardner), is getting married and the gang offers to fix up the house they've purchased in the suburbs. Unfortunately, the boys mistakenly go to the house next door and discover its being used as the headquarters for a Nazi spy ring headed by Emil (Bela Lugosi). Muggs (Leo Gorcey), Glimpy (Huntz Hall) and the gang spend the rest of the tale running from and chasing after the Nazis.
Green Eyes
1934
A stately country mansion is the sight of a costume party thrown by its wealthy owner. The masquerade party comes to an abrupt end when the host is found dead in a closet, his body full of stab wounds. Now the authorities and a crime novelist, who is a guest at the party, must sort through the guest list and uncover the identity of the murderer.
