Plot
This fact-based family comedy from director Joe Camp (Benji) features old favorites Slim Pickens (Dr. Strangelove), Denver Pyle (Bonnie and Clyde), and Jack Elam (High Noon).In Texas before the Civil War, an extraordinary experiment replaced U.S. Cavalry horses with camels, which could carry bigger loads and had better endurance in the harsh desert. Golden Globe nominee James Hampton (The Longest Yard) is Leiut. Howard Clemmons, who must win over veteran "horse soldiers" like Sgt. Uriah Tibbs (Cristopher Connelly). Howard falls for Jennifer (Mimi Maynard), the daughter of Col. Hawkins (Pyle), and then has to rescue Sgt. Tucker (Pickens) and several of his men from Bad Jack Cutter (Elam).
