A marriage between nobles in ancient China sets the stage for murder, monsters, and mutilation as the invited guests search for a secret hidden treasure. A search that leads them through dark evil forests, opulent palaces, and each other! When two sick and twisted killers enter the fray, it is up to our hat wearing hero to staighten things out and put the warlords, henchmen, and evil ninja six feet under! But is he working for the law, or himself?

Flying fighters, mental martial artists, evil Shaolin monks, and even more of those pointy hats come together to make this a blend of classic asian horror and martial arts that must truly be seen to be believed. All culminating in a final fight where men turn into monsters and break swords (and other men) in half like little twigs! Get ready for twisted corpses and even more twisted dialogue in Jade Dagger Ninja!

(Did we mention this has one of the oddest slow motion death scenes in all of classic asian cult cinema?)

NOTE: Because this movie was originally transferred to digital from a tape, the quality of the video is not the best it can be.   Jade Dagger Ninja is filled with flipping, flying, swords, gore and most of all, revenge. A band of heart broken warriors seek to ruin a noble’s wedding but a man who was widowed by the heart broken warriors shows up to take his revenge on them first. A magical potion called the purple jade badger which gives super human powers to the drinker is also constantly trying to be stolen from the owner, the father of the bride. With countless plot twists and double crossings, Jade Dagger Ninja has something many martial arts movies don’t, a good plot. The martial arts fights are mostly with weapons and filled with cheesy special effects like flying and giant jumps, which is all well done, even with some bad editing the fights are exciting, also there is a surprising about of blood at time when some of the many characters are murdered. By the end of this somewhat gruesome film just about every one ends up dead. This film is defiantly a lot of fun to watch, the stunts and gore are entertaining and often not very serious; this is probably a good film for anyone who likes martial arts movies but is not into the technical and serious martial arts fighting films.
