Sissy Spacek stars as Katherine Alman, an upper class college girl who embarks upon a path of revolution and radical action after seeing for herself the adverse conditions in South America and the southern United States. Her liberal views take an extreme turn after joining a group headed by Bob Kline (Henry Winkler). Told in a style of flashbacks and interviews, "Katherine" also features performances by Art Carney, Jane Wyatt and Julie Kavner.

When hard-bitten Viet Nam veteran Andy Crocker, played by Lee Majors (6 Million Dollar Man) comes home to reassemble his life, he was hoping for a hero's welcome from his family, friends and community. What Andy discovers upon arriving is his girlfriend has been forcibly coerced into a marriage she didn't want, his business has been reduced to a shambles, and friends are nowhere to be found. Crocker struggles to deal with rebuilding a life for himself after serving in the war and the emotional issues brought up by his war experience.
