Set in New York, this film is about Roger Patel (Paresh Rawal), a wealthy restaurant owner and the fond father of two beautiful girls, Dr Ritu (Kim Sharma) and her sister (Toral Mehta). He dreams of getting them married to young men who possess what he calls the three P's: Professional Patel owning Property!
A brash young man, Sundar (Jimmy Shergill) who runs a mobile restaurant in Manhattan, falls madly in love with Ritu and she with him. The trouble is, there's no way Roger Patel will even consider him as a prospective son-in-law. The sisters get together and plan to impress dad - they invite Sundar over to their luxurious country place in New Jersey - hardly the place that a poor Punjabi cook would be at home in!
Shot entirely in the USA over a continuous 45-day schedule. The film has great music by Jatin-Lalit.
