Lady of Burlesque
1943
This Academy Award nominated feature stars Barbara Stanwyck as a burlesque performing entertaining at a Broadway theater in the 1930's. While trying to make a success of herself, the dancer is trying to avoid the unwanted advances of a comedian and the bitter rivalry she's developed with some of the other dancers. When two murders occur at the show house that make her look like the guilty party, our dancer must team up with the comedian to discover whose committing the murders and framing her for the crimes.

1948
A neurotic ad salesman can't get rid of his girlfriend, since she controls his largest account and refuses to renew a contract with his firm unless he remains with her. After being totally driven crazy by the situation, he is removed from the account and then is assigned to promote a psychiatrist's upcoming book. When he meets the female psychiatrist, he is enamored with her and, in spite of being under her care, the two fall in love with each other. Complications with the new relationship arise when the jilted former girlfriend re-enters the picture and a bit of information about the new girlfriend is suddenly revealed.
