Plot
Ian (Jeffrey Sharmat, Cowabunga Christmas) worries that his summer vacation at Grandma's will be totally lame - even with Bentley (his spirited dog) with him. When Jules (Stephanie Sawyer, River Wild), the cute tomboy who lives next door to Grandma Mimi (Eileen Brennan, Private Benjamin), befriends him, the adventures begin! There is a dark, haunted mansion in which the strange, reclusive Franklin Lyle (Ernest Borgnine, Academy Award Winner) lives. Suspense builds as the kids meet slick Jimmy Murano (Jason Hervey, The Wonder Years) and his devious lawyer, Camille (Bonnie Cahoon) who are trying to force Franklin off the property. They will succeed if they can solve a decades-old mystery, and find a hidden treasure before anyone else. Action and humor abound as we follow the group's escapades - including a hair-raising car chase and a hurried attempt by Sheriff Burke (Cris Borgnine) to auction the old mansion out from under Franklin. The kids and their dog save the day - with the treasure discovered, the mansion saved, romance renewed, and the greedy crooks thwarted. EZTakes signs distribution agreements with all film owners, or their representatives. Those agreements almost always restrict us from selling some films in some countries. We very much want to be able to sell all films in more countries; however, getting the legal rights to do so is not always within our power.
