Life According to Muriel (La Vida segun Muriel) - Movie Download

Plot

A Toronto Film Festival favorite. Set in the breath-taking Patagonian countryside, and adapted from a noted novel by Susan Silvestre, Milewicz has created a touching and unusual drama told visually with humor and warmth from the point of view of nine year-old Muriel, with all the tenderness and innocence only a child can bring. Abandoned by her husband, Laura has taken Muriel from the hectic life of Buenos Aires in search of tranquility in Argentina's pristine landscape, where a freak mishap strands them and strips them of every possession and security left to them. The two are taken in by a suspicious proprietor of a run down hotel, a deserted woman with children of her own. As the two families struggle to make a life together, we get a unique and eye-opening vision of their world through the eyes of Muriel, who has found an abandoned video camera and becomes the "director" of the drama that unfolds in her real life. Outstanding character performances make for an emotionally powerful film.
