Midnight Phantom
1935
The new police chief vows to clean up the corrupt police department and bring in a new era of respectability to the force. After the new chief is found murdered and the attending physician is killed in the same manner, a criminologist identifies a detective dating the chief's daughter as the killer. The detective and his girlfriend set out to prove his innocence and find the identity of the true killer before he's sent away for a crime he didn't commit.
Nabonga
1944
A young girl is the only survivor of a plane crash that carried herself and her father, a bank embezzler escaping with the money. Befriended by a gorilla that protects and cares for her, the girl grows up in the jungle guarding the fortune. The son of the bank president, from which the money was stolen, tracks down the girl to recover the money, but falls for the girl and must protect her from an unscrupulous guide, who wants the money for himself.
