| Plot |
The sequel to Liane, Jungle Goddess surfaces at last. Liane, the gorgeous blonde jungle babe, encounters her rich relatives from Hamburg who have come to the jungle in search of her. I had to purchae it from Amazon in Germany to get it at all, no one had it for sale on dvd in the Untied States. Sadly it is not in English but is only offeed in German from the Amazon site in Bonn. The movie has fairly good quality sound, lush tropical settings in the beginning of the movie but after Liane is kidnapped all further scenes are in a desert environment (Spoiler)the young lady that accompanies Liane is a white woman with total black face makeup, for a 1957 Geman movie you think they could have located a pretty black singer like Lena Horne to play the native woman, instead of using a white woman. The Music for the movie is pleasant, and enjoyable to listen to, overall for a 1957 movie the content was quite mature, movie has some nudity in it , so it IS for mature audiences. |
