Plot
Attention history buffs! A double feature of classic newsreel films from the "Why We Fight" propaganda series of World War II. Oscar winning filmmakers, actors and composers lend their talents to these powerful and important historical documents. In "Prelude to War," two worlds are defined. The first is the Free world of the Allies' nations that honours life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The second is the Slave world of the Axis nations that honours only tyranny, brutality and unquestioning obedience to the leader and threatens to envelope the entire planet if the Free world does not make a stand. In "The Nazis Strike" we see Nazi Germany's diplomatic and military acts of international aggression. One by one, we learn of the Nazi's consistently underhanded and relenting violation of every promise of peace and exploitation of their foes's attempts of appeasement until the invasion of Poland in 1939 which led to Britain and France finally taking an armed stand against Hitler.Related Links
