Colonel Mazovia (Roy D'Arcy) kills a priest in order to get a parchment containing clues on how to turn people into zombies. An expedition of representatives from allied countries is sent to Cambodia to find and destroy the secret of the Zombies. The group includes Armand Louque (Dean Jagger) and Claire (Dorothy Stone.) Armand falls in love with Claire, who accepts his proposal of marriage in order to spite the man she really loves. It soon becomes apparent, however, that Claire is not in love with Armand. After Armand stumbles across the secret of the zombies by himself, he starts working to use his power in his own interest, which includes controlling Claire.
