This sex exploitation film includes wild parties, sex out of wedlock, lesbianism, etc. After going to a "casting couch," a chorus girl contracts syphilis. The film then focuses on the effects this lifestyle and disease have on her marriage. Sometimes paired with 1936's "Reefer Madness." NOTE: Because of the age of the original movie print, the quality of the video has degraded and you will notice some artifacts (i.e. scratchiness), particularly in the beginning of this movie.   Sex Madness is a series of stories about the dangers of sex and sexual exploitation. The first story is of a girl in an office who is “seduced” by another female coworker, they go to a burlesque show and after the show the film follows on of the dancers, she finds out that she has syphilis after being forced into a “casting couch” situation. She gives it to her husband after receiving a fake cure. Her husband falls ill and they think he may die from syphilis. The film ends with a phone call from a friend who says she is in real treatment and that her and her husband can be happy from now on. This is one of those movies that have aged so badly that nothing about it is relevant anymore which makes it quite ridiculous. However being completely outdated doesn’t make it a very entertaining film beyond thinking, wow, this is what people used to think?
