Plot
In this romantic, droll comedy, layers and layers of personal lies provide the glue that holds a trendy, shallow group of Parisians together.Ada (Helena Bonham Carter) is a fashion designer dissatisfied with her boyfriend Paul, a screenwriter. Paul's partner Guido is also having problems with his girlfriend Stephanie. Ada has more trouble when Lise, another fashion designer, begins to rival her for jobs and affection.
A charming film about life and love in the big city, serving as a French equivalent to Woody Allen's films. All the subtleties of the film may not be apparent after you first view it, but this is a film that pretty much demands a repeat viewing. The story stays with you and will further reveal its charms as you watch again...and again.
