It's a "Dolemite" movie in the most slight sense imaginable. Moore opens up the movie, has a brief conversation with some kind of supposed martial arts master/elderly wise man. Shortly thereafter, he's walking on a dirt road, says something along the lines of "Hey what's happening over there" and from that point (less than 10 minutes into the movie) until seconds before the end credits...NO MORE DOLEMITE. It's barely more than a cameo. And the resulting martial arts movie is neither good nor so-bad-it's-good. If you like Dolemite, you won't like this movie. If you like martial-arts-movie, even schlocky ones, you won't like this movie. |
