Plot

In the post Spanish civil war years, Catalan kids would sit in circles among the ruins and tell "aventis", stories without beginning or end or a purpose other than providing an outlet for the pent up horror and perversity created by war and its aftermath. These tales mix war stories, local gossip, comic book characters, fantasy and real events. The "aventis" told in this film are told in interesting flashbacks which chronicle the Civil War in a "typical" Barcelona microcosm.

In the mid '80s, 45 or so years after Franco, a doctor and a nurse-nun who were childhood friends and now coworkers, identify the corpse of one of the main characters of the "aventis" of their childhood and adolescence. The discovery of this body (belonging to someone long presumed dead) leads to other surprises and unresolved doubts, several decades later.

Durante los anos de la Post-guerra los ninos jugaban en las calles sentados en circulos para contarse historias (aventis). El tema de estas historias era una mezcla explosiva de fantasias y cronicas urbanas, todas ellas integraban personajes y lugares reales y aveces hasta se incluia el mismo narrador.
