Plot
Two movies on one disc!Smash Up: The Story of a Woman
1947
A young woman, with an aspiring career as a nightclub singer, gives it all up when she marries a songwriter and budding radio star. With her support fully behind her husband, he finally makes it big and she is able to live a life of idle luxury. With too much free time on her hands and thoughts of the career she might have had, the woman begins drinking too much and becomes an alcoholic, with her husband threatening divorce.
The Big Wheel

Billy Coy (Mickey Rooney) is a garage mechanic who eventually works his way into becoming a race car driver, just like his late father was. Forgetting how he got to where he is, Coy ends up using and discarding almost every friend and associate he has to make it as a driver, including his own loving mother. When Coy makes a mistake that costs another driver his life, Coy discovers what kind of person he's become and tries to take steps in redeeming himself.
