1951
Three small-time confidence men pull a scam that unfortunately brings out the police in full force to track them down. Finding themselves in a mission down in the Bowery, the three men quickly disguise themselves as priests and begin the charade of tending to the poor, in order to fool the authorities. While the trio may look the part, they initially keep their old habits until circumstances make the men begin to change their ways and outlook toward life.

Two Navy men vie for the affections of the same woman, as well as drive their superiors crazy with their outrageous antics. Their mutual interest in the woman causes a strain in the friendship both on and off the base. When an incident with a target ship places one of the men in danger, the truth about their friendship comes to light.
