Plot
Stage Door Canteen1943
Before being sent off to fight during WWII, three soldiers make a stop by the "Stage Door Canteen" for a little leave. Once there, they meet and fall for three hostesses all the while meeting and being entertained by some of the biggest stars and celebrities of it's time. That's the premise of this film that features sixty five major Broadway and Hollywood performers and celebrities all lending their time towards this film for the benefit of the war effort. Check out the musical, comedy and drama acts as well as production numbers, all the while looking to see if you can spot all the stars.
Career Girl
1944
Frances Langford is the star of this PRC musical about a Kansas City girl wishing to make it big on Broadway. Joan Terry (Langford) arrives in New York and settles down in a theatrical boarding house filled with others trying to find their way onto the stage. In spite of the efforts of Terry's fianc to prevent her from achieving her dream in hopes that she would return home to him, Terry lands a lead role in a musical that becomes the hit of the Broadway season.
