This is an instructional "BBoying DVD" in that focuses on footwork styles and concepts performed on the ground. That's why we also call it downrocking. Since its an introduction to the dance and it contains only floorwork, it's called "Footwork Fundamentals."

The producer 'Storm' started BBoying in the early '80s when TV broadcasted the facets of Hip Hop for the first time in Europe. Soon after, when the dance was played out and almost died out, a few groups kept it alive. Actuel Force from France, Throwdown Breakers from Sweden, Second to None and Always Rockin Tuf from England, Maurizio and Massimo from Italy, Enemy Squad from Hungary, Crazy Force Crew from Switzerland, TDB and Sonny T from Germany developed new moves and concepts out of what they adopted from New Yorkers.

Now, a lot of these precious original concepts are getting lost because people are often just accumulating moves without studying the philosophy of the style they are doing.

"Bringing the dance closer" was Storm's main motivation to create this DVD.

This DVD is dedicated to the New Yorker BBoys that inspired him the most Float, Chino, Sam, Icey Ice, Pex, Ken Swift, Rock Steady Crew, Kwickstep, special thanks to Wiggles, Klown, Mr. Freeze and Rob on Bass for spreading the truth.

The attitude, the rhythms, the dynamics, the fun the philosophy, the fashion, whatever it was we developed we wanted it to look Bronx.

If it turned out to be different, it wasn't our intention. What's known as the "European Styles" today was created when BBoying went on exile over here. For a long time I wished we had somebody telling us how to BBoy. In this DVD Storm teaches techniques, moves, BBoy theory and terminology he learned by exchanging with others as well as things he developed himself after a lifetime of BBoying.

Storm is one of the world's greatest BBoy pioneers and he's still going strong after over 20 years dominating the scene. Storm's 2 Hour Footwork Fundamentals DVD breaks down almost 100 rare moves and styles of BBoy footwork, most of which have never been covered in any other training video.
