Plot

A chief physician (Shannon Solo) at a large metropolitan hospital is formulating a serum to resurrect the recently deceased. When his facility comes under inspection from the government, the doctor is forced to dispose of the "patients" as quickly as possible even though they are in mid-experiment and he doesn't know if his serum will work. With the help of the evil hospital operations manager (Jasmin St Claire), he manages to ditch the experiments in the neighboring swamplands. Little do they know, their serum works, the experiments rise to "life" and wreck havoc on a group of students conducting science experiments in the swamplands. With the help of a swamp hermit (Brian "Blue Meanie" Heffron), a beautiful innocent bystander (Pamela "Transformed" Sutch), a park ranger (Leon South), and the police captain (Dan "The Beast" Severn) they try to piece together what has transpired...as well as survive!

  This film kicks ass!!! Bullets, blood, boobs.....turn your brain off for 2 hours and enjoy the carnage. The body count is like 25 (?!) in this movie or some crazy amount, and that's not including a slew of zombies!

  Well it's easy to understand why there is no preview clip of this film. It's sort of like Ed Wood meets Dolemite. I had low expectations going in, (it is called Swamp Zombies afterall) but the film still managed to come in under even that bar. I won't say the acting is bad, as I'm not sure there is a real actor in the cast, porn actors excluded. The production values look as though it was shot on DV, and sounds like it was recorded with the camcorder's onboard mic. It's not particularly gory, and the effects are so-so. There is some gratuitous A&T highlighted by Jasmin St. Claire's unsually long shower scene. The dialogue quality varies greatly (it's often hard to hear) with the foley or other sound effects often overpowering the dialogue. I'd be hard pressed to recommend it, except to the hard hard hard hardcore zombie fans who have to see every zombie movie they can, and amateur filmmakers looking to make their own films.
  I will say that it is a great study of how to (and how not to) make an indie movie. And I give the crew credit for getting it made. That's always an accomplishment in itself.
