Plot
The Admiral Was a Lady1950
This romantic comedy centers around a recently discharge WAVE who becomes the love interest of four men, all whom lead a leisurely lifestyle. While attempted to feign off these would-be suitors, our heroine attempts to track down her missing fiance, who is on the run from an angry millionaire. Hoping to find her fianc , our former WAVE finds herself falling for one of her lazy suitors.

A reclusive artist is faced with a major social engagement that he dreads attending and wishes to avoid. When his valet unexpectedly dies, it presents the artist an opportunity to assume the deceased man's identity and slip away. Unfortunately, assuming the valet's identity presents some unexpected complications for the artist, including a possible bigamy charge.
