The Charcoal People - Movie Download

Plot

A film directed by ACADEMY AWARD WINNER ("Close Harmony") AND TWO TIME EMMY WINNER - Nigel Noble

This deeply touching documentary examines the parallel destruction of the environment and the migrant workers who make their living chopping down the Amazon rainforest. Their job is to create charcoals for iron production used primarily in the automobile industry in developed countries. The film examines their daily lives as they burn timber, their bodies charred gray for two dollars a day, children and elders alike.

Touching and disturbing, the film is beautifully photographed, critically acclaimed and has been honored with numerous international awards and recognition. Endorsed by Amnesty International.
