Plot

Hong Kong legends John Liu, Tino Wong, and Phillip Kao Fei unite for some highkicking martial-arts action in director Godfrey Ho's vintage chopsocky-fest DRAGON, THE HERO. Liu and Wong star as the descendents of two warriors who had mastered a forgotten style of Shaolin fighting and died battling each other to death. Twenty years later, their sons continue the feud on opposite sides of the law: Liu is a government agent going undercover to bust a smuggling ring; Wong is one of the smugglers' minor henchmen. But the duo soon unite to fight their common enemy Kao Fei, who is master of the rival fighting style Sun Ta. Martial-arts mayhem ensues as the warring trio are joined by Bruce Lee-lookalike Dragon Lee and the hilariously hirsute Bolo Yeung in a cameo role.

NOTE: Because this movie was originally transferred to digital from a tape, the quality of the video is not the best it can be. We still believe, however, that it is worth watching for those interested in the subject matter. Checkout the trailer clip (if available) to get a sample of the video quality.

  I just recently bought this movie. I loved it since I have been doing Kung Fu for 6 years now. I did not understand when I watched it in English, there were Mandarin and English subtitles, but the thing that gets me is what they're saying is different to what the subtitles say. It gets the same point across but it's phrased in a completely different way. Maybe it's just what it translates to in Mandarin. But whatever, this was a great movie
