The Great Gabbo & The Dancing Pirate - Movie Download

Plot

The Great Gabbo
1929
Eric Von Stroheim plays The Great Gabbo, a ventriloquist whose slide into madness is complicated due to the transfer of his darker urges towards the personality of his dummy, Otto. Gabbo's lovely assistant Mary (Betty Compson) is in love with him, but she leaves him due to the abusive behavior that Otto exhibits towards her. Without Mary's calming influence, Gabbo is driven over the edge and takes out his anger upon Otto.

The Dancing Pirate
1936
This Oscar nominated musical was the first to be filmed in the three-strip Technicolor process and stars London and Broadway musical-comedy star Charles Collins as Jonathan Pride, a timid dance instructor living in 1820 Boston. While traveling aboard ship to visit relatives, Pride is shanghaied by pirates and forced to work as their galley boy. The pirate vessel eventually arrives at the town of Las Palomas and Jonathan, disguised in buccaneer's garb, leaves the ship unnoticed. Mistaken by the townspeople as the pirate captain, Pride is involved in a series of humorous escapades and romances the mayor's daughter. The arrival of a squad of soldiers changes things for Pride and the townspeople. This film also features an early screen appearance by a young Rita Hayworth as a member of the Royal Cansino Dancers.
