Plot
Charlie Chaplin was the cinema's first "superstar." Widely hailed as a comic genius, he developed his screen persona of the luckless "Little Tramp" early on. Soon he was directing his own films and refining movie comedy from pie-in-the-face broad slapstick to humorous portrayals of the human condition, combining hilarity, grace and pathos.In this remarkable compilation are the comedy shorts made during the most productive years of Chaplin's career, from 1914, when he was starting out as an unknown comic at Keystone Studios to the last short films he made in 1922 before working exclusively on features.
