Arthur Groome (Rex Harrison) is a married man who had an affair with Rose Mallory (Patricia Wayne). When Rose is murdered, all evidence points to Harrison. Throughout the trial, his faithful wife stands by him. The real murderer plans to confess after Groome is hanged. Will the authorities find the real killer before Groome goes to his death? This film is based on a novel by Edgar Lustgarden.
