Plot
The Mysterious Mr. Wong1935
Mr. Wong (Bela Lugosi) appears to be a mild mannered Chinatown merchant, but appearances can be deceiving. By night he ruthlessly seeks the Twelve Coins of Confucius that will give him control of an entire Chinese province. With eleven of the twelve coins in his evil grasp, a bloody killing spree gets the attention of news hound Jason Barton (Wallace Ford) and his girlfriend Peg (Arlene Judge). The tenacious pair gets in over their head when they find Wong's headquarters.

Boris Karloff stars in this feature as Mr. Wong, the first of six films about the detective. Mr. Wong (Karloff) is called in to investigate the death of a chemical plant owner. As the other partners in the plant are found dead, the detective must track down the killer before the plant's latest find, a poisonous gas, is used by foreign agents.
