Plot
John Saxon, well known actor and action star, famous for ENTER THE DRAGON, teamed up with Bronwyn Fitzsimons, Maureen O'Hara's beautiful daughter, for her screen debut in "THE RAVAGERS". Joining them is the number one Philippine action star, Fernando Poe Jr., whose popularity with far eastern audiences is partially due to the many daredevil stunts he performs himself. Poe, who also co-starred with Jock Mahoney in "THE WALLS OF HELL", here gives American audiences another rare chance to see him at his exciting best.This World War II story deals with a great treasure of gold that the Japanese Imperial High Command decides to pilfer from its hiding place in one of the small Philippine islands. The captors turn to torture of the women on the island in the search for the hidden gold. Always on the hunt after them are the guerrilla forces and the few Americans still alive on the island.
The conflict's resolution follows a non-stop fight in which each side employs every means in their power to stop the other. This great battle ends in a guerrilla victory and the retention of the gold on the Philippine island. This film has rarely been seen since its initial release and has been restored from the original 35MM film elements.
